When most people think of The Carol Burnett Show, one of the first things that comes to mind is Burnett's unnamed "charwoman" character and her endlessly hummable closing song. The tune is inextricably linked to Burnett's iconic ear-tug signaling the end of every show.
The song was written by Burnett's then-husband Joe Hamilton, who also served as a producer on the series. An upbeat, orchestral jazz version opened the show with various animated versions of the charwoman.
