Are these the first or last names of classic TV actors?

Names like Louise, DeForest, Curtis and Christopher have to be… what?

Sometimes when an actor takes a stage name, they simply use their first and middle names. Add to that the fact that a number of actors are born with names that seem tailor-made for a credits sequence and you have a lot of famous faces with two names that could be both first and last names.

We've compiled a list of classic TV actors that either have last names that sound like first names or first names that sound like last names — or both!

Can you tell whether these names come first or last?

  1. Is Louise this 'Gilligan's Island' actress's first or last name?
  2. Is Martin this 'Adam-12' actor's first or last name?

16/20. Not too surprising, considering I never watched the Waltons, Lost in Space, or St. Elsewhere. Didn't watch Gunsmoke too much, either.

19 out of 20. I don't remember the character's name of the girl on My Three Sons, much less her real name.

On #4, there's an error -- It's McCoy, Leonard H., son of David.

Seriously, it was nice to see a question about Norman Lloyd. He's one of those actors who gets the response, "Oh, is he dead? I didn't even know he was still alive...." [apologies to somebody]

I thought "Rose Marie" WAS her first name! I read that she was Italian. Her last name, if that was true, wouldn't be "Marie."

Did you know that Rose Marie's husband of many years was named Bobby Guy?
For real - William Robert Guy: he was a trumpeter in big bands, and did the music for Rose Marie's club/stage act until he passed in '64.

You can't make this stuff up ...

17/20 I missed the Waltons and Lost in Space questions, because I never watched those shows.

I watched Lost In Space when I was in grade school (syndicated re-runs) and I still missed that question. Of course I was in grade school in the sixties...
