Can you guess the John Hughes movie from one iconic line?

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

 Everett Collection

Nobody does a high school movie quite like John Hughes. We're celebrating his films in this quiz! Each of these questions contains a line from a film written by Hughes, and it's up to you to tell us which movie it belongs to.

  1. "His name is Blane? Oh! That's a major appliance, that's not a name!"
  2. "It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school."
  3. "You break his heart, I break your face."
  4. "Well Marie, once again my dear, you were as right as rain. I am, with out a doubt, the biggest pain in the butt that ever came down the pike."
  5. "What's your record for consecutive questions asked?"
  6. "Guys, I'm eating junk and watching rubbish! You better come out and stop me!"
  7. "Oink oink, my good man!"
  8. "Look guys, take it easy on daddy. Remember, he's a rookie."
  9. "Can I borrow your underpants for 10 minutes?"
  10. "Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place."

Can you guess the John Hughes movie from one iconic line?

The only one I really knew is #2. I just watched that movie recently... for about the 50th time. In my opinion, FBDO is the best John Hughes movie ever.

Got 6 out of 10 right! I remember this line from "Planes, Trains and Automobiles": "Well Marie, once again my dear, you were as right as rain. I am, with out a doubt, the biggest pain in the butt that ever came down the pike." By the time John Candy spoke this line, I found myself feeling sorry for his character. He wasn't deliberately being obnoxious; he was just an oaf who didn't think about others at times.
