Can you match these Gunsmoke characters to their first lines on the show?

What was the very first thing these iconic Western characters ever said?

 CBS Television Distribution

Marshal Matt Dillon is naturally the very first character onscreen in the Gunsmoke pilot, but his first lines on the show aren’t directed at anyone else, they are a voice-over introduction to Dodge City.

Other first lines range from greetings to funny musings to songs. Here are the very first things said by 10 Gunsmoke characters. Can you match each line of dialogue to the right person?

I love Gun Smoke, with Chester, he was on from the beginning, and I'm so thankful for Perry Mason, thank you, and God bless you all.

5 for 10. I do recall when they spun off Dirty Sally into her own TV series.
I can't imagine why some bozo exec thought her character would appeal
to America enough to sustain a series.

You got 6 out of 10

All guesses, as I don't believe I've EVER seen a single episode of Gunsmoke. For some reason it just never appealed to me. Maybe I'll give it a go someday.

I got five out of ten and I've never watched it, either. Of course, I hadn't been born yet (or even thought of) when it premiered and I was only 13 when it ended.
