"Would you ''Wanna Dance With Somebody'' if they didn't like Whitney Houston?"
I WOULD only dance with somebody if they DIDN'T like Whitney Houston.
Let me explain.
Back in the day when I was working in the meat department of our local grocery store, my supervisor always had the radio on and set to the local pop music station, which I didn't really mind since I lliked a plenty of the songs. However, this station also had a habit of playing songs over and over, and over.
This was also when Whitney Houston and Maria Carey were having their "Scream-a-thons." I swear it seemed like they were trying to outdo each other with every subsequent song they put out by seeing which one could scream the loudest and make their voices hit every note in the known universe, usually one note right after the other in stupid and silly ways.
Now, when you are listening to this tripe over and over again for roughly 8 hours a day, it begins to wear on you.
Enter the singer, Sade.
My only solace during the scream-a-thon was that sometimes the station would also play songs from Sade. Her calm, soothing, sultry way of singing was just the respite I needed from all of the loud, obnoxious noise coming from those other two "entertainers." And it made me appreciate her quite a bit.
Oh, btw, I got 8/10 on the quiz. Didn't know quite a few of the answers, but some I got just from logically figuring it out from the lyrics to the song title.
And now to cleanse your ears from any of the scream team, here is some Sade if you've never heard her before. This was one of her most popular songs.
