Anyone else see the connection between Troglytes and troglodytes (prehistoric cave dwellers)?
This episode has similar plot elements to the classic 1927 science-fiction film Metropolis by Fritz Lang.
The Stratos guards weapons are the re-used Scalosian weapons from "Wink Of An Eye."
The miners goggles were re-used in Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan for Khan & his people on Ceti Alpha V for the violent dust storms on that planet.
