Did the Darlings sing these songs on The Andy Griffith Show, or did we make them up?

As Briscoe Darling likes to say, ''A-one, and a-two, and a-way we go!''

 CBS Television Distribution

It's always a treat on The Andy Griffith Show when the Darlings come to town. The singing Appalachian clan doesn't appear too often, but when they do, it always results in a bluegrass jam, a rare and welcome opportunity to see Sheriff Taylor really play his guitar.

In each of their six appearances on the show, the Darlings (played by the real-world bluegrass group the Dillards) brought a hefty handful of folk tunes down from the mountains that give cause for a solid foot-tapping and a roaring good time.

We've compiled a list of their songs -- and mixed in a few phony titles of our own.

Now we want to know: Did the Darlings sing these songs on The Andy Griffith Show, or did we make them up?

10/10! My whole family is musical, except me, and they play many of The Dillard's/The Darling's songs. I love when they break out the guitars, banjo and upright bass to play their tunes, it's almost like being in their mountain cabin with them. Some of the favorites that always get played around the fire outside when we gather is Duelin' Banjos and Dooley. I have a Briscoe quote sitting on the piano, "Got time to breathe, got time for music".
