Did these stars perform at the Super Bowl halftime show back in the day?
Can you remember if Bowie, Elvis, Ella, Chubby and Indiana were ever there?
The Super Bowl halftime show as we know it — with huge pop stars performing hits with pyrotechnics — is a relatively modern phenomenon. For its first 30 years, the stage was typically given to marching bands or Up With People, the positive-vibes crew that also performed at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades and presidential inaugurations.
That being said, there were some other unlikely stars at halftime in the 1970s and 1980s. Dorothy Hamill, George Burns, The Judds, Disney characters and Andy Williams all appeared at some point.
But can you remember if all these other people ever performed? Take a guess! Down, set…

Blues Brothers and Indiana Jones? No, THEY did not appear! Blues Brothers, Akroyd and Belushi, we're not there. Neither was Harrison Ford.
Yes, the Blue Brothers did perform at halftime of Super Bowl XXXI.

They didn't say it was Harrison Ford, they said it was the Indiana Jones character. Super Bowl XXIX featured Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye

Jim Belushi was with them also. I don't remember much about the performance but from what I've read it wasn't very good. Some called it one of the worst halftime shows ever.
My point is, if it wasn't Harrison Ford, it wasn't Indiana Jones. If it wasn't Belushi, it ain't the Blues Brothers. My opinion. I'm an old fart!
9/15, which is way better than I expected. At least I actually *knew* one of the answers. My niece was one of the backup performers when Diana Ross appeared at Super Bowl XXX.
13 is wrong the Blues Brothers died with Belushi Never could stand Carol Channing ewww that voice.
#5 (which I got wrong) James Brown and Z Z Top, both at the 1997 show ? There's an odd couple if I ever saw one!
10/15......not too bad considering that I have NEVER watched a Super Bowl. I am not an athletic supporter.
