Which super '70s duo recorded these Top 40 tunes?
They were two of the biggest pop duos of the Seventies — especially if you listened to a lot of soft-rock radio.
The Carpenters and Captain & Tennille ruled the airwaves with songs about dancing and touching and rain. They ruled television, too, with their variety shows and specials.
Think you can tell them apart? All of these songs (but one) broke into the Top 40 of the Billboard pop charts. Who sang what?

14 out of 14.Huge fan of both.Owned all records by both.I loved Toni's strong voice but nobody compares to Karen's tone and the emotion in her voice. John Bettis( Carpenters lyricist) said "Karen closed her eyes and went to a place inside all of us". I had a crush on The Captain and Richard.
14/14... I did this one a bit different. Not as familiar with C&T so I went through and marked all the ones I knew for sure were the Carpenters and then went back and chose C&T for what was left... yes, I'm weird LOL

"Can't Stop Dancin'" indeed! Hopefully, you loved this quiz like a muskrat.
Pretty damned good I'd say for someone that is not a fan of boring music like this and who calls himself THEHEAVYMETALMANIAC.

Finally aced one of these tests - 14/14. (I didn't do so well on the 70s and 80s song hits quizzes - both to my disappointment.)
There was only one song by C & T I liked. "The Way I Want to Touch You". Everything else and I would change the radio station.
I consider myself a major fan of both acts I'm very sure come in from the rain was a Melissa Manchester hit record If the CARPENTERS had had that as a hit I would remember hearing that

Also did you know Toni Tennille used to sing back up for Elton John on some of his songs? Don’t know if the Captain was part of that or not.
