How can you have a 70s opinion quiz without the defining question of the decade: Manilow or No? Celebrating 50 years in the biz this year, it's always been a yes from me!
i'll take 50s and 60s...especially with the wailing saxophone..don't get me wrong there was good music in the 70s and 80s...but it kick started earlier
I still have all of my 45s, and I have more from 1977 than any other year. I've always felt that the '70s started the trend of heavy music diversity more than any other decade, but was also before EDM and rap became prevalent.
24% I'll take it. 1978 was a great year for albums but the 60's had The Beatles and prime Dylan and Stones.
Disco still sucks. In fact it blows and swallows.

You do a "poll" about 70s music and you don't even mention KISS? What is wrong with you people?

The 70's had its good music. I chose Powerful for progressive rock, but I can also see how Pompous was an option. Not all disco was bad. I ruined Stairway to Heaven for myself, but doesn't that prove I believed it to be a great song? IMO, Wish You Were Here was a better record than Dark Side of the Moon. Ramones, The Clash and Sex Pistols...that's my jam!
I got 73% similar. I love '70s music! I love disco, glam, country, prog...not so much on punk, and just a little funk (funk got better in the '80s...punk never got better). Before rap and EDM really came into play. you can't beat the '70s!
