"____ing in a winter wonderland!"

"Winter Wonderland" dates all the way back to 1934. It was written by Felix Bernard and lyricist Richard Bernhard Smith.

In the decades that followed, the song has been covered by over 200 different recording artists. So, you've probably had the chance to hear it a couple of times!

If you didn't know the words, all you need to do (without looking them up) is listen to a radio station that plays Christmas music. In time you will hear that song several times a day and know it forward and backward in possibly as little as one day!

"Winter Wonderland" isn't exactly one of my favorite songs. Except when Elvis Presley sings it. I love my Elvis Presley Christmas CD.

Both versions of the line are in the song - it's two different stanzas.

In the meadow we can build a snow man,
and then pretend that he's a Circus clown.
We'll have lots of fun with Mr. Snowman,
until the other kiddies knock him down.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
and then pretend that he is Parson Brown.
He'll say, "Are you married?", we'll say no man,
but you can do the job when you're in town.

Johnny Mathis does a nice, animated rendition of Winter Wonderland.

Guess not. Seems Lyrics.com has a version by the Osmonds:

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
Until the other kids knock him down.
