Do you REALLY know the lyrics to "Winter Wonderland"?

"____ing in a winter wonderland!"

It's a festive favorite. A Christmas classic. A yearly yuletide tradition.

"Winter Wonderland" dates all the way back to 1934. It was written by Felix Bernard and lyricist Richard Bernhard Smith.

In the decades that followed, the song has been covered by over 200 different recording artists. So, you've probably had the chance to hear it a couple of times!

Let's see whether you can really recall the lyrics, though. Sure, anyone can hum along. But what are the words actually saying?

Be sure to share your score and your favorite merry memories in the comments section below!

  1. "Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? In the _______, snow is glistening."
  2. "A _______ sight. We're happy tonight."
  3. "_______ away is the bluebird. Here to stay is a new bird."
  4. "To _____ a love song. While we stroll along"
  5. "In the meadow, we can build a snowman. We'll pretend that he is _________."
  6. "He'll say, are you married? We'll say, no man. But you can _________ when you're in town."
  7. "Later on, we'll _______."
  8. "As we ________ by the fire."
  9. "To face _______."
  10. "The _____ that we made."

Sure it's a 10. I hear it again 100 times this year for the 70th year.

10/10 - when we were kids we would sing “perspire” instead of “conspire” cuz we lived in the greater Phoenix area and couldn’t imagine sitting by a fire when it’s 70° outside!

On Evening Shade the Michael Jeter character said "perspire', because he was ' walking in his winter underwear '

Doesn’t everyone walk in their winter undies in the north

If you didn't know the words, all you need to do (without looking them up) is listen to a radio station that plays Christmas music. In time you will hear that song several times a day and know it forward and backward in possibly as little as one day!

"Winter Wonderland" isn't exactly one of my favorite songs. Except when Elvis Presley sings it. I love my Elvis Presley Christmas CD.
