Guess the classic TV show from its 1980s reunion movie

Recognize your favorite characters a couple of decades older?

 The Everett Collection

If you think reboots are popular now, you should have lived through the 1980s. Television networks were constantly reviving favorites from the 1960s and 1970s.

Westerns, sitcoms, action shows, medical dramas, spies… they all returned to the small screen it seemed. The trend continued into the early Nineties, which, let's be honest, were basically a continuation of the Eighties.

We've gathered some (hopefully) memorable reunion movies from that era. See if you can match them to the correct classics!

  1. These fellows appeared in the 1986 reunion 'Return to ________'?

I missed the last one, I don't recall a Marcus Welby reunion & thought it was the Father Knows Best Christmas reunion. I guess that's nurse Consuelo, Elena Verdugo, pictured with him; she actually looks a lot like Jane Wyatt, so fooled me lol

Good limerick or poem. Here's another one:

There once was an actor named "Chuck"
Who some said was down on his "Luck"
The series some say he had "bet on"
Was later the show with a "ret-con"

I have seen the Season 2 Episode of Happy Days episode
Called BIG MONEY and the host
Of Big Money was played.by
Dave Madden .
Linda Purl is listed in the credits as playing GLORIA but
I have seen this episode several times and I have not
Seen Linda Purl in this episode.
Dave Madden was on The
Partridge Family as Reuben
Alice as basketball coach Earl
Hicks Camp Runamuck and
Rowan & Martins Laugh In.

Linda Purl as Gloria (credited only)
What does credit only mean in TV shows:
(credit only) - Someone is credited, but didn't actually appear in the episode. Common in episodic shows where regular performers sometimes don't appear in an episode but retain a screen credit.

There is one episode of GOMER Pyle USMC called Sgt Carter
Gets A Dear John Letter .
Sherry Jackson is listed in the
Closing Credits as l
Playing Geraldine but Tommy Leonetti was NOT LISTED as
Playing either as Nick or Cpl
Cuccinelli or as Corporal .
This is the only episode of
GOMER Pyle USMC.where
Tommy Leonetti is NOT listed
In the Closing Credits.Strange.
On the Happy Days episode called Our Gang Richie is telling Chachi the story of how
he met Fonzie . Beatrice Colen
Is NOT LISTED in the credits as
Playing Marsha Simms but in all of the other Episodes of
Happy y she is listed as playing
Marsha in the Closing Credits .
This episode of Happy Days
Called Our Gang is the Last
Appearance of Marsha (Beatrice Colen). In the first
Appearance of Beatrice Colen
In the episode called Guess Who's Coming To Visit isn't she
Listed in the Closing Credits
As Waitress ?
Also wasn't there One Episode
Only of Happy Days where
Gavan O Herlihy is listed as
Playing Chuck but Gavan O Herlihy is actually Not in one episode of Happy Days that he is listed on the closing credits.
Wasn't Gavan O Herlihy listed.
In the Closing Credits of The
Lemon but he is NOT in that
Episode. So was Gavan O Herlihy actually in 6 episodes of Happy Days or 7 episodes of
Happy Days.
Wasn't there One Episode ONLY
Where Ken Osmond is listed as
Playing Eddie Haskell in the
Closing Credits but Ken Osmond is NOT in that episode.I don't remember which episode of Happy Days where Ken Osmond is listed as
Playing Eddie even though Ken
Osmond is NOT in that one episode only even though he is listed in the closing credits of
Leave It To Beaver.
All of this stuff that I am talking about probably happens
On other TV shows also.
Sometimes an actor doesn't
Talk on certain episodes but
Their name is listed in the
Closing Credits.
Mr Schwamp never talked on

The Andy Griffith Show and his
Name is not listed on the closing credits of The Andy Griffith Show bit other characters on TV shows who
Don't talk (Like Moose -Barry
Greenberg) are listed in the
Closing Credits.
On the Last Episode of Leave It To
Beaver called Family Scrapbook
Larry MONDELLO (Rusty Stevens) and Mrs MONDELLO
(Madge Blake) appear in this
Episode but their names are not listed in the closing credits of Leave To Beaver.
On The Adventures of Superman Robert Shayne is listed on the Closing Credits of the Show but he is not in all of
The episodes even though jos me is in the closing credits.
Characters like Officer Evans
Buzz and Animal are not listed in the Closing Credits of Happy Days. Also it is unusual that the Professor (Russell Johnson)
Is not seen all for the last 15
Minutes on the episode called
Gilligan The White Goddess which by the way was the Last Episode of Gilligan's Island.
Gilligan's Island was at first renewed for a fourth season
But Gilligan's Island got cancelled
Anyway Fyet 3 seasons because CBS had no where to
Put Gunsmoke so to make
Room fot Gunsmoke Gilligan's Island got canceled.
Gunsmoke -Mts Paley's favorite TV show . Her husband worked
For CBS. I remember that the
Letters CBS came down one at a time and announced that this
CBS show was in color.
I believe that Tom and Dick
Smothers talking about that
CBS intro on The Smothers
Brothers Comedy Hour.
I liked that CBS intro and I miss that CBS Intro announcing
that a CBi show was in color.

That message is long.
To summarize Credits are not perfect all the time (for the most part 99.99% of the time they are). There's always going to be that 00.01% when the credits are not perfect.

It would have been great if the
Producers had done a GOMER Pyle USMC Reunion Movie several
Years Ago but now in 2022 the
Producers have waited Too Long
Because several cast members
Have passed away since Frank Sutton (Sgt Carter ) passed away
In 1974. The only cast members of
Gomet PYLE USMC that I know
Who are still living are Ronnie
Schell (Duke Slater) and Elizabeth MacRae Lou Ann POOVIE.

I wonder if MeTV has a limit on Data in any one story. When I look at the comment count at 400+ in this room, that might be a record.
