How well do you know the classic ''Walnut'' episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show?

The Dick Van Dyke Show provided many classic TV moments over its five-season run. There’s the hilarious haunted house episode “The Ghost of A. Chantz” or the Western parody “The Gunslinger.”

Arguably the show’s most famous storyline, however, involves something relatively normal: walnuts. Of course, this being The Dick Van Dyke Show, the resulting episode was anything but normal – in the most hilarious ways.

I'm amazed that I got even this good a score. I haven't really watched this episode very much, and most of the answers that I gave on this quiz were simply guesses, and yet many of them, with the exception of #'s 7 & 12, were the right ones. I suppose that I'm just lucky that way, you dig? LOL!

There''s a great anecdote that I've heard about this episode from Mary Tyler Moore. It seems that when she fell from the closet after being buried under a ton of walnuts, the laugh she got was so loud that nobody could hear what she was really doing. She let out a huge fart while she was falling and nobody heard it. That's why you see her with an odd look on her face after she lands on the floor.

I got 6/12. I never saw this episode. I wish back then the couples on tv could sleep in the same bed.

12 for 12. I think I'll celebrate. Bartender, a glass of fresh air, the good stuff, a Trenton 1988,
not that bottom shelf LA 1999, a bad year for smog.
By the way, I see in the "comments" people are wondering about the Theremin music. Trust
me, it's well worth looking up this fascinating bit of Hollywood history. "You'll thank me later",
as Adrian Monk says.

Tune into "Midsummer Murders" a British crime drama and listen to the opening music in which a Theremin is used. It looks like a rabbit ears antenna and it is played by passing your hand in between the two "ears."

I will check it out. Thanks

They used a Theremin for the music in the movie " It Came From Outer Space" too. You heard it every time the aliens would appear on screen, Creepy music.

I remember Robert Klein used to get laughs by doing a Theremin effect with his voice!
