There's something so magical about eating a Christmas cookie. They're comforting and nostalgic and have the ability to transport you back to some of the best memories of your childhood. Nevermind the fact that they taste amazing, and we could spend the whole holiday season eating them. Here, we're testing your cookie knowledge by providing you with a few fleeting facts about specific cookies, and it's your job to name that cookie!

  1. This cookie is named for its ginger flavor, and are shaped like a person.
  2. This simple Scottish cookie typically calls for one part sugar, and two parts butter.
  3. These Austrian cookies are dusted with powdered sugar, and filled with jam. While the middle is usually cut out in a circle, you can also cut out shapes like a heart.
  4. These cookies are known for their cracked surface, as well as their cinnamon sugar dusting.
  5. To make these cookies, you'll need to press your finger into the dough while baking, creating a divet in the cookie that you can fill with chocolate or jam.
  6. These crisp almond Italian cookies are longer than other cookies, but are delicious when dunked into a warm beverage.
  7. These cookies are also called "snowball cookies" for their round appearance, dusted in powdered sugar.
  8. These delicious treats are considered the classic cookie, complete with gooey chocolate pieces throughout.
  9. These cookies contain dried fruit pieces in them, and sometimes nuts. They're named after the cake bearing a similar taste and appearance.
  10. These cookies are more truffle than they are cookie, but are typically filled with chocolate and alcohol.

I do remember the one that is filled with some sort of jam in a depression in the cookie
