"You got 6 out of 10. You didn't lose; you were ROBBED!" Harder than I thought it would be.

Did Carl Reiner really name Rob Petrie after his own son Rob Reiner?

9/10 I figured Rob Petries brother was Jerry. LOL

No, Jerry was his neighbor and dentist.

Dick Van Dyke's brother was named Jerry. He appeared on the show as Rob Petrie's brother Stacey.

Yeah, but Rob Petrie's neighbor was named Jerry, so the name was already in use in the fictional show, and they tended to avoid having multiple characters with the same name on sitcoms in those days.

Jerry Helper may have been an early example of the trope where a secondary character automatically gets called Jerry. I'm thinking of Bernie Kopell on "That Girl" and Peter Bonerz on the Bob Newhart Show.

Or the movie "Fright Night".

9/10, missed #9. Got confused for a moment between fictional character and real-life actor, cuz I believe Dick Van Dyke has 4 children; but the question was “Which Rob…” - doh!

I figure Richie Petrie and I should have the same birthdate, because he was born the same day as the son of Greg Morris, whose real-life son Phil shares my date of birth.

I had a boss several years ago that had my exact birthday. Same month, day, and year. Wonder the odds of that happening
