Always liked Family Feud. Especially the older series with host Richard Dawson. Surprised that it was so low percentage wise in the picks.
Well, I went with the one I used to attend tapings of back in the 70s: "The $20,000 Pyramid" and only 1% of you agree with me. I love game shows, but something that takes a bit of skill along with a tad of knowledge always works for me.
"Jeopardy" is my favorite contemporaneous game show. Ooo"Concentration" was a great show that I watched as a kid. Does anyone remember "Video Village"?
My favorite was the b/w show "Beat the Clock" with host Bud Collyer. The games were fun, but the best part is their budget must have been like $20. Cause they might would used an old cardboard box that a refrigerator came in, use black electric tape, an old beatup card table, etc to make the games for that episode. They were very imaginative in their games. 😁
This poll is too difficult for me to choose a favorite. I like all the old game shows with the hosts from that time. The Price us Right with Bob Barker, The Dating Game, Newlywed Game, Password. I remember hearing of Truth or Consequences but I don't remember watching it. I like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. I watched Match Game and Tattletales. There was one called Win, Lose or Draw. I liked Family Fued with Richard Dawson the best. The other hosts were ok. Chuck Woolery on the back in two and two. I can't think of the name. It was another dating game. Card Sharks was a good one with Bob Eubanks. I've seen Press Your Luck. A newer one I like is Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I also liked Name That Tune. I would know more songs on the older version. What's my Line was good.
Actually, Bob Eubanks hosted "The Dating Game".
My favorite was "Jeopardy" because that made you think and think fast.

Jeopardy, with Art Fleming, was great to watch.
(Did you know Art was a veteran? He piloted PBY Catalinas in WWII.)

The Gong Show is my favorite game show of all time.
People remembers only the most recent. Nobody remembers the distant past. "Price is Right," "Wheel of Fortune" or "Jeopardy" are recent and still on the air. Nobody remembers watching the original running of "What's My Line," or "Concentration," "To Tell the Truth," or "Supermarket Sweep" even though they were very popular and part of pop culture during their time.
I used to watch "What's My Line" which was on Buzzer Channel - the original in b/w with Jon Charles Daly with Ann Francis, Dorothy Kilgannon, Fred Lewis (he always had the best "one liners" when introducing the woman, on his side) and Bennet Cerf who used to introduce Jon Daly.
Now they have the ones in color with Larry Blyden whom I can't stand (I used to go to school with his son around the sixth grade and I couldn't stand him either although I can't remember his name).

I have to go with the iconic Wheel of Fortune; it’s the game show I watch the most!
I went with Jeopardy for today's standards, but in the past it was Price is Right, and Let's Make a Deal.
When I was growing up I liked watching the Newlywed game, pretty funny stuff.
can you imagine that show in this present day? She would always be on the cell phone and the hubby would be a limpper dope
I used to watch it as a kid, too. I still remember this question, "If your wife were a book with chapters from one (her feet) to 10 (her head), which chapter should be rewritten?" One husband answered, "Chapter five," and the wife answered "Chapter Nine." She had a southern accent and launched into this big explanation about how she doesn't like her chin and kept repeating, "Numba niiine's my cheeen." For years, my friend and I would crack each other up by randomly saying, "Numba Niiine's my cheeen."
"Jeopardy" and "The Price is Right" were my to 2 favorite game shows. #3 would be "Let's Make a Deal". I think the popularity of Alex Trebek and Bob Barker made those shows last so long and are still on the air although not with the original hosts. "Let's Make a Deal" was much lower on the list. Monty Hall was the popular host for that one.
Also not listed is a new quiz/grab&go show called "Raid the Cage". It has only been on the air in the past year on CBS. Maybe it will return after Survivor is over or in the Fall.
Split Second didn't even make the list. It was a quiz show in the early 1970's, hosted by Tom Kennedy who later hosted Name that Tune. Split Second was co-produced by Monty Hall along with Steve Hatos.
