Were these sitcoms in the 1970s or did we just make up a show?

Disco, trucking, C.B. radios, skateboarding — if there was a trend in the 1970s, you can bet they made a television show about it.

That led to a lot of quirky sitcoms. Some were big hits, others lasted a mere season. That's way the TV biz works, after all.

So, think you can sniff out the difference between an actual Seventies sitcom and one we made up? Put on your bellbottoms, grab a lava lamp and shine a light on the REAL television shows.
  1. Was 'Fish' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  2. Was 'Reelin' in the Years' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  3. Was 'Szysznyk' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  4. Was 'Hizzonner' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  5. Was 'Doctor Wu' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  6. Was 'Bad Sneakers' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  7. Was 'Hot L Baltimore' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  8. Was 'Holmes and Yoyo' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  9. Was 'Kid Charlemagne' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  10. Was 'Rose Darling' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  11. Was 'When Things Were Rotten' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  12. Was 'Grandpa Goes to Washington' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  13. Was 'Daddy Don't Live in That New York City No More' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  14. Was 'Me and the Chimp' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  15. Was 'Monkey in Your Soul' a real sitcom in the 1970s?
  16. Was 'Show Biz Kids' a real sitcom in the 1970s?

Were these sitcoms in the 1970s or did we just make up a show?

What's with all the Steely Dan crappy songs?

You got 15 out of 16
Any major dude will tell you… that half of these titles were actually Steely Dan songs! You sure know your Seventies pop culture!

When I saw "Fish" being listed as a sitcom, I didn't go any further.

8 out of 16. I've never heard of any of the shows or songs listed.
You clearly have a lot of catching up to do, at least with the music.

16/16. Shouldn't try to fool someone whose first CD purchase was Steely Dan's box set!

And what about those of us who didn't buy Steely Dan albums?
14 out of 16 and that was only because I had to refresh the page and got to do a few questions over again.

13/16, but when I realized the fake sitcoms were Steely Dan songs, I did better.

16/16! Of all the crazy quizzes to get a perfect score, no idea how I did it on THAT one!

Ironically, I was just listening to Donald Fagen albums today, but unfortunately I know his songs better than random Steely Dan album tracks. 11/16.
