I'll always remember Elton John's free concert in Central Park. Had to squeeze myself in on the Great Lawn which was covered with fans, squatting on the grass in the summer heat. Brought my lunch along, as well as a portable wineskin, and grooved to Elton's music for hours. The climax was seeing him singing "Your Song" while wearing a duck costume, quacking in between lyrics. He was a hoot! And a very nice man, very fan friendly. One of the best summers of my life. God bless you, Sir Elton!
In "Rocket Man", it's just my job 5 days a week didn't make sense to me. If you're in a rocket in space you don't get the weekends off.
10/10. Not bad for someone who had none of his records or tapes. Just heard his music on the radio, or saw the videos on TV.
Funny that this is lyrics for Elton, because most of Elton's lyrics were written by Bernie Taupin...Elton wrote the music.
Got 9/10. Got 3. wrong, even with a "sorta" clue. Science=Rocket Man! Oh well, best I've ever done on these quizzes. Wish I'd have seen him in concert!
10/10 He was so good in the 70s . Tumbleweed Connection and Captain Fantastic we fabulous LPs
