Where's the episode of WKRP that was a version of A Christmas Carol? Mr. Carlson didn't hand out Christmas bonuses (I forget why) and when he fell asleep in his office, he was visited by Venus Flytrap (Ghost Of Christmas Past), Jennifer Marlowe (Christmas Present) and Johnny Fever (Christmas Yet To Come).
They also did a bit of predicting the future--what Johnny showed us was a completely automated radio station with an elderly Herb Tarlek as the only employee. He was only there to push the occasional button...

0%. OK, I actually sacrificed this poll! I just picked Jim Carrey only because I just watched the movie. His many different character voices in the movie were outstanding! Full disclosure, I really have to go with Alistair Sim!

You left out my favorite Scrooge--Jim Backus as Mr. Magoo! Of course this is funnier than most, but I lived for it to be on each year as a child. I think I have all the lyrics of the songs in this version memorized. I like many of the others and, of course, many are dramatically far better, but Mr. Magoo literally "bringing the house down" will always be my favorite.

I loved watching Alistair Sim every Christmas. It was a tradition when I was growing up. Would still watch it wherever accessible.

From this list, "none of the above." The best Ebenezer Scrooge was Albert Finney, from 1970-71. But my 2nd favorite IS on this list. It's Reginald Owen, from 1938. Coincidentally, they were the first 2 Scrooges I saw.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed his omission. The sequence with the ghost of Christmas future was frightening as a child.

Hands down, the best Scrooge ever!
