Like most collectors, he loves toys from the 70's and 80's, and items from his favorite televison shows and movies. He's also what you would call a tinkerer, restoring old toys to look as they did when he played with them as a kid. But what sets Rick apart from other collectors is that he's lost much of his memory, so when he comes across sees an item from his past, it actually helps trigger memories that might have otherwise been lost forever. Some of Rick's most treasured items are the the CB player he got for his birthday, the Sky Arrow Set he only had faint memories of-until, one day he saw one and all those old memories came flooding back. Our toy expert, Joel Magee will put a value on Rick's collection and remind us all why so many of these toys"
- 8/2 5:30PMDavid Goodspeed- Dallas"The hit television program “Dallas” ended its 13-year run in 1991, and the reboot aired more than a decade ago, but it lives on in the collection of super fan David Goodspeed. Collector’s Call visited David at his home, where he has curated thousands of Dallas-related items. Lisa brought along a special guest: actress Charlene Tilton, who played Lucy Ewing on the show. David showed them some of his most prized possessions, including a suit worn on-screen by Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing; a poster signed by several cast members; a screen-worn wedding dress belonging to the second Mrs. J.R. Ewing, Kathy Podwell; vehicle plaques from cars designated for transporting the cast; items from some of the milestone episodes of the program; and mini oil derricks containing J.R.’s secrets to success. Charlene shares her memories of these items from the series and some behind the scenes stories.Expert James Yarwell, who is also a friend of David’s and Charlene’s, will appraise the entire collection, before proposing a trade for some of his rare collectibles. - 8/9 5:30PMGeoffrey Cort- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"Geoffrey Cort may be a big fan of the “heroes in a half shell,” but his passion for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has grown into a full-blown collection. Now, after decades of collecting, he’s taking Lisa and expert appraiser Joel Magee through turtle history, sharing incredible props and costumes from the 1990 and 1991 live-action films, including Shredder’s helmet, Leonardo’s katanas, and Raphael’s trench coat; the original action figure line; and the comic books that started it all: two highly graded copies of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1. Joel appraises Geoffrey’s collection and later proposes a trade, offering rare figures in exchange for original cartoon artwork. But will the offer have Geoffrey saying "Cowabunga" or will he send Joel's items back to the sewers? Also, Geoffrey receives a special message from TMNT voice-acting legend Rob Paulsen!"
