Henry Winkler took the most heartwarming thing from the set of Happy Days when the series ended
Winkler's prized Happy Days prop might surprise you.

Fond memories are all well and good, but there's nothing quite like a souvenir to commemorate your time in a certain place or with certain people.
It's incredibly common for an actor to take a souvenir with them when a film or television production wraps. After Gunsmoke ended, series star James Arness took a pair of saloon doors from the set to gift to his former co-star, Burt Reynolds, to the actor's delight.
Plenty of set pieces are guaranteed to be sold off or placed into storage. In more extreme cases, sets and props are dismantled and thrown away, never to be seen again. In many situations, actors are encouraged to take props or set pieces home with them to serve as a precious memento to look back on.
Henry Winkler appeared in the hit series Happy Days for eleven seasons. He appeared on the podcast "What In the Winkler?!" hosted by Stacey and Zoe Winkler. While there, the actor confessed that he took a very specific item from the set when the series finally ended in 1984.
"When Ron and I did Happy Days, there was a shelf outside of Arnold's," said Winkler during the podcast. "We put our coffee cups or a water bottle on it as we went through the swinging doors before we made our entrance. At the end of Happy Days, I took that."
Winkler had written on the shelf for the entirety of the series, and had other co-stars sign the shelf as well. In addition, Winkler also used the board to commemorate special occasions in his co-stars' lives, including the date that Howard discovered that his wife, Cheryl, was pregnant with their child.
