Linda Henning pushed for a Petticoat Junction reunion
The actress was interested in reuniting the old cast.
Reunions are a contentious subject in television discourse. On the one hand, it's always exciting to see your favorite old characters reunite, but on the other hand, some things are better left alone. Television series don't last forever, but sometimes when something isn't in your life forever, it makes you better appreciate what you have.
Still, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, including the actors who took part in the television shows everyone holds so near and dear to their heart. According to an interview with the Los Angeles News, Linda Henning, known for playing Betty Jo on the series Petticoat Junction, made her feelings regarding a potential series reunion well-known.
Henning herself was decidedly pro-reunion. "Every other show has had a reunion," she said. "So why not our show, too? We just have to convince someone somewhere."
It wasn't just an idea that existed in Henning's mind; she also worked with Meredith MacRae, who played Billie Jo, on workshopping the idea of a potential reunion. Even after Petticoat Junction ended in 1970, the cast remained close. "Even today," said Henning. "When I see a cast or crew member, it's like home week."
It's easy to see why Henning was for a Petticoat Junction reunion, as she understood what the series had meant to fans. In an interview with The Boonville Standard, "You could forget your cares. It was time to relax at the junction," she said.
"Audiences could tune in for a half house and enjoy knowing that things would turn out okay."

When she appeared on Happy Days as an army officer, she was beguiling, no wonder Fonzie
asked her out.
I have always wondered why she didn't have a bigger career, she could act and wasn't just
a pretty face. She had a bit part on Gidget as one of Sally Fields friends, as did some other actresses
who became stars, Bonnie "One Day at a Time" Franklin, Barbara Hershey.
Also if I remember correctly she also appeared on Mr. Ed. As did Clint Eastwood and Mae West.
