UPDATE: The Brady Bunch house was sold to HGTV, and now Lance Bass is part of their plan
The Brady house to Lance Bass: "I want you back!"
*UPDATE: If you were bummed out that Lance Bass got cut out of the picture in the Brady house bidding war, here's some good news: TMZ and Entertainment Tonight are both reporting that HGTV has invited Bass to participate in their upcoming project with the house. Everyone's a winner, just like on The Brady Bunch!
The recent bidding war over the house that served as the exterior for the home on The Brady Bunch has ended, and the winner is someone no one would suspect: HGTV. A spokesperson for the DIY-obsessed TV network released this statement via CNN:
"I'm excited to share that HGTV is the winning bidder and we'll restore the home to its 1970s glory as only HGTV can. More detail to come over the next few months, but we'll bring all the resources to bear to tell safe, fun stories with this beloved piece of American TV history."
So, sorry to celebrity hopefuls like Miley Cyrus and Lance Bass who had their own ideas for what to do with the iconic TV home. It seems the house belongs on TV, where HGTV will be the next studio to take on the task of bringing the ranch-style house back to the 1970s.
Are you excited to see what they do with the Brady house?
