Enough with M.A.S.H. and Hogan's Heroes.
The practice of putting 1 or 2 hour blocks of the same shows is getting old.

Time to get some new shows into the lineup

Good Morning Fellow MeTVers
I have an ax to grind, maybe 2. I just heard Columbo will be retired, however the "light-hearted" take on the Nazi's - Hogans Heros continues to plague the air waves. When will enough MeTV fans say enough is enough? The Swastika, no matter who designed it centuries, ago symbolizes terror, pain, death and the most darkest corners of one's soul ever imagined, yet Bing Crosby's studio felt it was fine to exploite it for comedy. I am not a woke-type individual, I have been insulted and offended for 40 years. Please MeTV viewers, lend your voice to mine and ask MeTV to retire the insensitive, unfunny Hogan's Heros!!

when the movie was presented to the american public originally, the military had worked out a deal with the producers and we watched the movie IN KOREA commercial free 1 week prior to its airing here in the states....watching it for only the 2nd time since its original airing in korea tonight, 38 later, just like it was at the end of the movie was very emotional remembering several people in my house off base watching with me and how the chicken incident really hit home then and now...I've loved m*a*s*h since the initial movie when radar was the ONLY member of the movie that went on to the weekly show...he made the comment about the reality of how it was...my dad said the same thing to me one night in the late 80s when I was home and we were watching tour of duty when he said that show was the most realistic and most like what it was when he was in viet nam...its ALWAYS great when the writers and producers do their investigation and get the shows as real or close to real as possible...william christopher commented on type cast...he has appeared on gomer pyle, and hogans heroes as both a member of the heroes and once as a german soldier and I saw him on something once as a priest...

So a rerun. Not just the interviews, but this story. It should be marked as such.

To the point of the specific article:
Enjoy these online extras as MeTV Remembers the M*A*S*H Finale on Veterans Day. (Not very long, but interesting). I assume they're clips from the extended interview

To the point of the MASH time slot (from 7:30pm to 10pm in our marketplace). That would be a 2 hr finale plus a 30 minute interview, is how I read it.

Our affiliate delayed it: Watch the M*A*S*H Finale rerun, on Thursday, November 11, at 7PM | 6C on MeTV!

It appears they recycled the story from a couple of years ago and updated or added info for this viewing. The 24 months ago comments are a giveaway, they've done that on a few stories from time to time.

did you think they filed a finale movie last year for it???? think man think...half the original cast is no longer with us...this movie originally aired in early 83 I believe because I was in korea at the time and watched it thru a deal worked out by the dod and producers for the movie to air for us serving in korea 1 week prior to its airing here in the usa and would otherwise not get to see it for who knows how long...

Radars uncle Ed passed away and Radar was granted a hardship discharge well before the finale. 🙂
Pacificsun birddog 36 months ago
That's where I'm confused. How could he be in the finales if he'd already gone home. And yet I see him there as part of the promo's. Is that somebody's flashback, it would be hard to imagine a finales without him.
Pacificsun birddog 36 months ago
But I saw him in the promo ... how'd that happen.
