Linda Guillory knows how to get a high score! Take a look at her incredible video game collection, which holds two world records.

Jun. 4, 2023

Linda Guillory grew up playing video games, and usually winning in them too. Her love for gaming didn't stop once she became an adult, in fact, she reached the next level.

As an adult, she has found and bought all of her favorite childhood games, and then added a few more, just for good measure. Linda has been leveling up her collection for years and she now owns more than 3,000 gaming systems and individual games.

She also currently holds two Guinness World Records for this vintage video game collection. She has even raked up bonus points by becoming an engineer, so that she could better understand them.

Her passion for video games began with Coleco Pac-Man, and spread to other games such as Zelda and Donkey Kong. This vintage video game collection has stemmed from many childhood memories. Which video games did you play as a kid? Take a look!

1. Adventure Vision with three sealed cartridges

Adventure Vision is the "holy grail" of handheld games. It's very rare and hard to find in quality condition today. This handheld came out in 1981, and retailed for about $50.

Today this item is worth $10,000 for the gaming system and the three cartridges.

2. Tiger King Kong Tabletop

This item is special because there is said to only be one boxed copy available, and Linda owns it. Linda made multiple offers over a few years in order to buy this valuable item.

It's an important part of Nintendo history, and it's one of Linda's favorite games to play. It's a museum piece waiting to happen.

Today it would be worth around $10,000.

3. Entex 3-D Escape 1000 Mazes prototype

This is an Entex 3-D Escape 1000 Mazes prototype. Linda found this item in an online auction, where an employee from Entex was selling it.

It's a working prototype and it is different from the later versions. It is very rare to find working and in good condition prototypes for classic games and gaming systems.

Today this item would be worth around $3,000.

4. Coleco Pac-Man

Who doesn't love a good game of Pac-Man? This is the one that started it all for Linda. Pac-Man is one of her favorite classic games.

This machine gives her one of her favorite memories from childhood. Which video game does that for you?

Today it's worth around $200.

5. The Legend of Zelda and The Adventures of Link

The Legend of Zelda and The Adventuresof Link are two of Nintendo's finest. When Linda first played The Legend of Zelda she played it all the time and in time, developed a deep love for the game.

She and her sister bonded over it, and created a memory that makes it special for both Linda and her sister. Both of these games are new and in the box.

Today they are worth around $1,500.

6. A set of Mattel handheld games

Linda has a full set of vintage Mattel handheld games, and these are just some of her favorites. Linda understands the importance of Mattel and it's influence over handheld games. She grew up playing them and had always wanted to collect them.

She has all 50 games that are part of the Mattel handheld game set. How many of these did you play?

Today they are worth around $8,000.

I still have that Coleco Pac-Man game, circa 1981 or 1982! Mine is in far from mint condition, but it still works.

Very nice and special collection and many still in pristine condition. I had a comic and baseball collection for years until I sold most of them via Ebay. With over 1000 Silver age comics and some before and after that period. One time having The Amazing Spiderman #6 to around #500. Baseball cards from mid 50's through 60's. Having Mickey Mantle cards from 1956-1968. Heaven knows how many of those era cards I used in my bicycle spokes. Maybe even a 1963 Pete Rose rookie card Of course none of the MM ones I would even think of such a thing. Yanks probably my favorite team back then. Now I root for them to lose. It is nice to have collectables such as Linda Guillory has acquired. Just recently at auction a pristine Micky Mantle (1952 Topps rookie card) sold for a record 12.6 million. One can only dream for something like that. Or just enjoy the collection of others.

my brother used to collect baseball and football cards. I wonder what happened to those, they disappeared before ebay. :)

It's good that Lisa has found something to do later in life.

I enjoy seeing Valerie Bertinelli on the Food Network
