Hopefully, this collection is your jam!
Sep. 15, 2024
If you like Pearl Jam, you won’t find a “Better Man” than Shon to show you his incredible collection dedicated to the band.
Shon fell in love with the grunge rock band back in the 1990s and has been collecting one-of-a-kind items ever since. He’s passionate about Pearl Jam because their music resonates with him, and he appreciates the emotion behind each song. Plus, he loves the mosh pits.
Today, Shon has around 4,000 pieces of memorabilia dedicated to the band. He also boasts hundreds of signatures from Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam's lead singer.
You don’t have to be a Pearl Jam fan to fall in love with Shon’s incredible collection. Check it out!
1. Eddie Vedder Autographed Guitar
It's time to jam!
This is a stage-used guitar from Pearl Jam's lead singer, Eddie Vedder—an item sure to make any Pearl Jam fan have a true fan-girl moment.
Vedder made it even more special by having the entire band sign it, and he even wrote a personal note just for Shon. The personal connection, along with the autographs, makes it his most prized possession.
Today, this piece would be worth around $80,000 with the autographs. By the end of this episode, you might find yourself joining the Pearl Jam fan club—especially with a value like that!
2. Pearl Jam Drum Kit
Drum roll, please!
This is Dave Abbruzzese’s personal drum kit from his time as a drummer with Pearl Jam. Shon acquired it directly from Dave, a friend he’s known for many years.
According to our expert, this is an essential piece of Pearl Jam history.
Although Shon admits he has no musical talent, he certainly still knows how to jam! He’s not just a fan of the band, but also a friend.
Our expert valued this iconic kit at $40,000, partly because Dave continues to influence the music world today.
3. Band Autographed Surfboard
This signed surfboard is one of Shon's favorite pieces in his incredible Pearl Jam collection. It was specially designed by Sony Music to commemorate the sales of the band's first three albums.
According to Shon, only seven of these surfboards were made—one for each band member, one for the tour manager, and one for the band's manager.
While the surfboard didn’t originally come with the band’s autographs, Shon dedicated time to obtaining them. We can only imagine how hard it must have been to haul a surfboard around for signatures, showing just how dedicated he is to the band.
Our expert put the surfboard's value at $10,000. But Shon isn’t planning to sell it anytime soon—it’s priceless to him!
A little birdie told us that Eddie Vedder is a collector himself. Where should we send a personal invite for him to be featured on Collector's Call?
4. Autographed "Ten" Album
This is an original pressing of Pearl Jam's debut album, Ten, signed by all the band members from 1991.
Shon tracked down the band in an alley in downtown Seattle to get their signatures—talk about dedication!
This was one of the first Pearl Jam pieces Shon added to his collection.
He’s put a lot of time and energy into collecting, attending shows, and hunting each item down. It’s truly a labor of love.
According to our expert, with millions of copies sold and this being a signed first edition, it could easily be valued at $3,000 today.

5. Eddie Vedder Signed Tambourine
This is a signed tambourine from a Pearl Jam show!
According to Shon, Eddie Vedder loves to play the tambourine during his final encore onstage. He typically tosses out between five and ten of these during the encore.
Shon got this tambourine when a girl he was with caught it and gave it to him. As with most Pearl Jam items in Shon’s collection, it wouldn’t be complete without Eddie Vedder’s autograph!
Shon estimates that he has four to five hundred Eddie Vedder autographs in his collection. People often say he has the biggest Pearl Jam collection in the country—and judging by the looks of it, that might just be true!
Our expert says this tambourine is especially unique because it was a stage gift. While there are several out there, this one is extra special.
Our expert valued it at $6,000.
6. Autographed Green Lady Poster
This is a one-of-a-kind signed Pearl Jam poster that can’t be replicated! It’s one of their first full-color posters, created by the prolific artist Frank Kozik.
The poster is iconic for its vibrant colors and features performances by both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam—two legendary '90s bands that remain incredibly popular today.
Only 450 copies were produced and signed by the artist, Frank Kozik.
What makes this piece even more special is that it also bears the signature of Chris Cornell, the lead singer of Soundgarden, who has since passed away.
With its double signature, this poster is valued at $15,000 today.

1) won't reveal the price of some of their finds -- if you are under a CDA/NDA, maybe you shouldn't be on this show! and
2) turn down trade requests even when they have duplicates of items the appraiser wants. That's happened a couple of times now, and I always wonder if the collector realizes just how petty, pigheaded, and ridiculous they look. This guy Shon took the cake. I guess he's a more self-centered member of the "Jamily," kinda like how I heard Eddie Vedder really is.
Oh, well...YMMV.
