Meet Mike Lefevre: Inside the Collection

Good grief! Mike’s collection is all about Snoopy. Take a look!
Jun. 8, 2025
Mike was five years old when his father brought his little sister home from the hospital—holding her in one hand and a plush Snoopy in the other. For Mike, it was love at first sight, both for his new sibling and her stuffed toy.
From that moment on, America’s favorite beagle became a permanent positive impact on Mike’s life.
By the time he was 10, Mike had already acquired more than a dozen Snoopy collectibles. Today, his collection has grown to over 15,000 Snoopy items. He displays them all in a museum he built at his waterfront restaurant near Detroit.
Snoopy has a way of bringing people together, and Mike is a perfect example of that special connection. Snoopy is everywhere in his house and heart. Take a look!
1. Snoopy Talking Bus

All aboard the Snoopy bus!
To Mike, this is a rare treasure: a Snoopy Talking School Bus made in 1967, complete with rubber wheels and a metal frame.
He spotted it on eBay and instantly recognized it—it was a piece he’d hoped to find one day, and his collecting hunt finally led him to it.
It’s in paw-sitively great condition for its age—even our expert wanted to take it for a drive!
This toy is extra special because the voices featured are from the real child actors who originally played the Peanuts gang. That means you're hearing real voices created just for this piece and these voices that still bring the nostalgia decades later.
Even cooler, Charles Schulz himself was involved in the creation of this collectible. He insisted on doing the original artwork, making this bus a true Snoopy score for any fan.
According to our expert, it would be worth around $800 today.
2. Snoopy & Woodstock Phones

Most Snoopy fans will recognize this vintage treasure!
These Snoopy phones were hugely popular in the late ’70s, and Mike has collected several versions over the years—in different colors, models, and brands. But let’s be real: everyone always wanted the Snoopy phone!
According to our expert, this model debuted in 1976. Back then, you’d order one directly through the phone company, and they were often sold to major manufacturers.
Mike’s collection highlights the evolution of this iconic phone—from an older, brass-made version to more modern plastic models that embraced new technology.
While the value of this collection is around $150 today, it’s the Peanuts-powered memories that really make it special.
It’s a Collector’s Call—literally!
3. Snoopy Attache Case

This Snoopy attaché case comes with a story that’s priceless.
It was a Christmas gift in 1987 from Mike’s sister. A year later, when he opened a restaurant, he used it to hold recipes and important paperwork. But one night—it was stolen.
He searched for it off and on over the years, and incredibly, 26 years later, his girlfriend bought it for him off eBay.
He always wondered: Could it be the same one that was stolen?
There are many Snoopy-themed accessories out there, but few quite like this. It’s in great condition—and in Mike’s heart, it’s priceless.
Our expert estimates its current value at around $300. But let’s face it: Snoopy is the greatest fashion statement of all.
4. Snoopy Wind-Up Chef

This wind-up Snoopy chef toy is flipping adorable—literally!
When you wind it up, Snoopy flips an egg into the air which is a feature that makes this toy extra special. But over time, that tiny egg often went missing, so it’s rare to find one today that’s still complete and in working order.
This piece was a gift from Mike’s dad, which makes it even more meaningful—especially since Mike works in the restaurant business today. To him, it’s truly priceless, no matter the market value.
According to our expert, it’s a relatively common toy, but what sets it apart is that it’s completely battery-free. It’s valued around $35 today.
Mike said Snoopy’s egg-flipping skills are better than his own!
5. Snoopy Christmas Ornaments

These Christmas ornaments are part of the "Junk Food" series from 1985—and they’re a treat!
Mike has five out of the six original ornaments, missing only the elusive hamburger. According to our expert, the burger does exist, but it doesn’t come around very often. And let’s be honest—nothing tops a good hamburger.
The company that made these originally discontinued the line, and eventually, Hallmark began producing similar designs.
In their current condition, the five-piece set is worth around $500. But if he ever tracks down that burger, it would make the collection even more delicious.
6. Super Cartoon Maker

This is one creative collectible!
It’s the Snoopy Cartoon Maker, made by Mattel. It's a nostalgic throwback to the 1970s that brings max childhood joy. This toy let users create three-dimensional figures and design their very own custom cartoon panels featuring Snoopy.
The box is still in great condition, which makes a big difference when it comes to value—especially here on Collector’s Call.
According to our expert, it’s worth around $125. Mike hasn’t tried using it yet, but we’re pretty sure that plastic goop has a Peanuts-approved shelf life!
