As 'dancscanlanMeTV" pointed out many comments below it is the famous car that Harrison Ford drove in "American Graffiti". I need to dust off that one and have another look - it's been many dozen moons since I saw it last.
But for me it's biggest role was in "Two Lane Blacktop", the Monte Hellman 'road' movie from 1971 starring James Taylor as "The Driver", Dennis Wilson (Beach Boys) as "The Mechanic", Laurie Bird as "The Girl" and Warren Oates as "GTO". Really drove home the point that I was born just about 5-8 years too late. I would have been out on the highway driving around the country immediately upon exiting the theatre!
I guess this means Charlie's Angels is coming to MeTV? For Summer??
Eh, not the best but I'm not a car aficionado.
I got me a car, it's as big as a whale
And we're headin' on down to the love shack
I got me a Chrysler, it seats about twenty
So hurry up and bring your jukebox money
