Can you recognize ‘60s hits from one line of the chorus?

Big fans don't cry (because they get 'em all right).

The hits of the 1960s still echo in music today, serving as a profound influence and foundation for popular music that came after.

Think you can detect every big '60s song from just one line of the chorus?

We picked some of the best lines we've been singing along to for ages. See if you can tell the Beatles from the Crystals from the Turtles from the Shondells. Good luck!

10/12. At least I got a "Beach Boys" song as a reward for my efforts. I've been a big-time "Beach Boys" fan for many, many years.

10/12, missed #6 & #12. My Girl was the song my daughter and I danced to at her wedding.

11/12. Missed # 11. It helps to be old. Most of those were during my high school days. I think they messed up on the Everly Brothers song, "Cathy's Clown". I think the lyrics were "I die each time", not "I die every time."

Fergie, who was born in 1975 did not have a hit in the 1960s.

Lyrics
Big girls don't cry
Big girls don't cry
Big girls don't cry-yi-yi (they don't cry)
Big girls don't cry (who said they don't cry?)
My girl said goodbye-yi-yi (my oh my)
My girl didn't cry (I wonder why)
told my girl we had to break up
(Silly boy) hoped that she would call my bluff
(Silly boy) then she said to my surprise
"Big girls don't cry"
Big girls don't cry-yi-yi (they don't cry)
Big girls don't cry (who said they don't cry?)
Baby I'm a fool (I'm such a fool)
"Shame on you" your mama said
(Silly girl) "Shame on you, you're cryin' in bed"
(Silly girl) "Shame on you, you told me lies"
Big girls do cry
Big girls don't cr-yi-yi (they don't cry)
Big girls don't cry (that's just an alibi)
Big girls don't cry
Big girls don't cry
Big girls don't cry
Big girls don't cry
Big girls don't cry

See METV, no Fergie verses! At least you admitted your mistake by changing the quiz to use THESE lyrics!

11/12 Missed #11. The Four Seasons or Fergie version should have been specified. I'll give myself 11/11.
Fergie wasn't even alive in the '60's, so those lyrics didn't count!
