A tribute to De Kelly, an established actor in big-screen westerns.

Retake 9/10 Didn't remember a lot! of the things in this episode because it wasn't exactly my Favorite. But,it did have its moments for me,like the weird sets that were supposed to be buildings.

Kind of like the sets used back in the day on tv westerns.

9/10, many of which I got from my knowledge of the actual OK Corral incident (like the date and the sheriff's name).

I've actually hooked up a lapel mic to Wyatt Earp (not the original but a present-day relative who performs as his famous cousin).

DeForest Kelly had a couple of earlier connections to the legendary O.K. Corral during his career.
On the historical anthology TV series You Are There (November 6, 1955), he played Ike Clanton.
He then portrayed Morgan Earp in the 1957 feature film The Gunfight at the OK Corral. This episode originally aired just one day before the actual gunfight.
Original title: "The Last Gunfight."
It was planned to film this episode on the western town backlot. Budget constraints did not allow such filming, so partial practical sets were constructed of a 19th century American western town. Many fans thought this worked in favor of the episode by contributing to its eerie & surrealistic atmosphere.

9/10, decent episode. One of the cowboys was that guy who was in so many western movies and tv shows.

Rex Holman appeared in a ton of westerns.
And he reappeared in Star Trek years later, in "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier".

That's him.

7/10. Not one of my favorite Trek episodes.

Star Trek was at its best during the first season, in my opinion. There have been some decent episodes after that but the first season was far more consistent than anything that followed, including other Star Trek series and all the films.

Me either...not a fan of westerns.

Odd and surreal but I like it!

Scotty love's his booze.

9/10 580/610 And in the original adaptation of this episode by James Blish, it was a tranquilizer "dart", not a grenade. I guess my mind traveled back too far, into my teenage years.
MichaelPowers Mempatfan 1 month ago
I picked dart as the answer too.

10/10. Odd episode; the Earps were the good guys.
MichaelPowers DK 1 month ago
Historically speaking, the Earps weren't saints by any means.

They were tried for this shooting.

I doubt that you were "dreadful."
KJExpress Mempatfan 1 month ago
Oh, dramatic license. 😄 But for a ST-TOS fan to go 6/10, it's not great.

Thank you! 😁
