Gee, all the older crime shows placed higher in percentages of votes, gosh, I wonder why? I mean, people under 30 watch MeTV, right?
That's my first 100% Similar. I do not watch any crime shows of today.id rather watch the old Cartoons 😛
Although I tend not to watch many "modern" crime programs, and therefore haven't seen some of the ones listed here, the few that I have watched can sometimes be too overwhelming with their realism. It's almost as if they want the viewer to experience whatever it is that the victims of the perpetrators are experiencing. Thanks, but no thanks. If I wanted that, I could just as easily take a walk down some city streets at night. However, my wife & I were big fans of NCIS before they got rid of all the main characters & replaced them with very forgettable people.
When a series hits season six or seven, that's typically when the initial contracts with
the original cast run out, like Pernell Roberts on Bonanza. So relatively then unknown
"stars" were signed cheaply at first, but if a series lasts into year 6 or 7 they are then much
better known and are going to cost bucks to re-sign.
The NCIS franchise banks on the viewers brand loyalty and gets rid of the actors that
made it a success to begin with rather than come across with the big raises, except perhaps
with the main lead(s) or in certain cases. The Hawaii Five-O reboot dumped regulars Grace Park(sigh) and Daniel Dae Kim when they sought more money in season seven.
What also factors in to producers playing hardball is, after season 7 they have more
than enough episodes to make $$$ in reruns for decades, so even if by chopping
the cast the series then fails, they got a revenue stream "forever".

I think that most people who watch MeTV will prefer the older shows. There have been some really good shows since but none on this list. I like the older shows for many different reasons: Cars, Pop Culture, Clothing, Music and types of housing and architecture.
100%. Man ya just cant beat the classics!. Sorry but new aint got any sole. The oldies had heroes, and that made me want to emulate that kind of standard as a kid.
It's hard to choose. Considering I don't like most of the old shows and have never seen the new ones. I dunno
No way that mannix was better than SVU. I should know I'm old. Lol
100%. Glad we’re all on the same page. I love CHiPs. My favorites are when the slow speed chase involves a forklift. Emergency is also among my favorites. But right now I’m really loving Murder She Wrote. That’s Jessica, I would never want her to visit me. Everywhere she goes someone dies.
100% looks like old school runs this survey.
90%. I haven't seen any of the new shows that were listed so i really have no criteria to judge with. I've seen all the old shows that were listed. Even if just a few episodes for some.
