don;t like new tech it is data collecting tech , rather use old tech where no data on me is collected . convenience turns people into lazy droids . if they left out all the dats collecting i would use new tech , the way it is now no way . even new cars track everything you do some with video of your actions as well , sick

65% I prefer the old fashioned way of doing things

76% similar. Go figure. I definitely prefer physical books, because I do all of my reading in the bathtub, and I do NOT trust myself enough to hold a tablet or something in the bathtub! Mostly because I HAVE accidentally dropped paperbacks into the bathtub before.

Some choices missing..like #1, I don't stream, i RIP MP3s from CD or torrent them.
#2 Movies; I torrent them save to my large hard drive.
#3. No option for digital Antenna TV?
4. There is something called a "PC" that can game as well.
I have a large farm of them to help cancer research, called World Community Grid.
#10. Could the question be more broad?

84% similar. I'm a hardcore "Luddite". Some technology is easy to deal with, such as CD's, but other things are more of a pain than their worth. I've downloaded songs, only to have them taken back by the "music service", so that I can only play my "downloads" if my phone is near a Bluetooth signal, which does me no good at all when I'm driving or pedaling my bike. Other things, such as "Alexa" seem to be invented as a way for someone to spy on you inside your home, and are really more of a pain than just turning on a light or appliance the old-fashioned way.

How can they have CD's and 8-Tracks in the same sentence? Not even close to being similar.

68% similar. Very surprised at #8. I know few people are reading newspapers now but so many still reading physical books? Wow! Kind of surprising and glad to hear it. I guess that's why Barnes and Noble hasn't gone under just yet.

86%. Still have my sweet 35mm camera but there’s really no where to buy or develop film locally anymore, I’d have to travel at least 80 miles one way, or purchase film online and send it in to be developed; I don’t trust that process. It’s like modern technology is trying to force some of us boomers to do things the current way or suffer.
Cell phones are nice, like using a handheld computer when needed. But it’s hard to be around younger folks who are constantly on their phones, even while “conversing” with others right in front of them.
Remember the good old days when you’d be out driving around with your friends and you had to find a pay phone to call home, or call other friends to meet up with? I miss those times for sure.

As a little kid, I remember picking up the phone receiver and hearing a conversation between two women, and one of them yelled, “get off the phone whoever you are, this is a private conversation!” I freaked out lol. That was my introduction to party lines.

am glad for you - but it depends on the channels and tower....OTA is great if you can stand the old people tv ads..am not a shill for cable for sure

Yeah I know what you mean. Broadway Joe Namath or William Shatner hawking health insurance plans and Ted Danson (Cheers) up on a ladder promoting cell phone service.

mind killing tv ads for sure...and usually OTA people can't be saved by the FF button to skip thru those inane ads

How about another bit of technology that's had multiple generations still in use today? Would you rather shave with:

A straight razor
A safety (single blade) razor
A cartridge (multi blade) razor
An electric razor

Different times in my life I've used all but the first one, and I'm currently committed to the second.
Definitely a cartridge razor. I would probably end up in the hospital bleeding out if I tried using a straight razor. Does anyone remember the Epilady from the early 90s? That sucker missed its calling as a medieval torture device! It literally yanked the hairs out, and it felt like it was yanking them out one by one really fast. I tried using one to shave my leg and lasted about 5 seconds.

When at work I definitely prefer a straight razor when contemplating slitting my wrists.

I'm old school. I prefer to take photos with one of those late 19th century cameras. Kidding!
