5/10 I sucked on this one...Jerry Mathers holds the distinction of being the LAST surviving starring cast member of Leave it to Beaver. Hugh Beaumont (Dad), Barbara Billingsley (Mom), and Tony Dow (Wally) are all sadly gone. Only a few of the co-starring character actors are still among the living. The main recurring cast member Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell) the annoying, phony baloney jealous so-called friend of Wally sadly passed away at 76 years old in 2020. Beaver's "turncoat" friend "Larry" is still alive at 75 year old. And the "snitch" classmate of Beaver "Judy Hensler" is also still among the living. The first season Beaver's teacher "Miss. Landers" Sue Randall died of cancer at the young age of 49. Lastly, Beaver's little "follower" classmate "Whitey" passed away at the young age of 45. I read that he was a heroin addict at one time in his life and contracted Hepatitis later on and died at a local hospital on his birthday September 20th, 2020. I was really saddened by the passing of big brother Tony Dow, I could not imagine him gone and I read that Jerry Mather's had shed many tears learning of his "big brother's" passing. Wishing Jerry "The Beaver" a long full life. God Bless
The only game show I remember seeing Jerry Mathers on was The Dating Game. He was Bachelor #2 and he won.
How well do you know Jerry Mather's career? Not very well 4/10
7 for 10. This kid really had nothing special, but he made his Midwestern plainness a universal asset! I knew 500 kids in grade school just like him. Ok, maybe 25, maybe 10, but you get the picture. Beaver was the All American third grader who had a crush on his teacher, got chased around by his older brother’s idiot friends, incessantly pulled an obnoxious girl’s (Judy, who else) pigtails, had mud on his blue jeans and Sunday suit, asked the local fireman all kinds of dumb kid questions and lied about his father falling out of an airplane when asked why his poor report card wasn’t signed. We all experienced these nutty situations and that’s what made Beaver and his world so inviting each week in our own homes. The creators and writers had American school kids read like a book when they concocted Leave It to Beaver.
Gee Wally, she only got 6/10…mad mom real mad!
Jerry also recently, this past year I believe, was a guest on the Horror YouTube show Creature Features (which used to be on KOFY TV in the San Francisco Bay Area) if anyone is interested looking it up there. It was kind of surreal to see “The Beave” being interviewed in a haunted mansion by the host, Vincent Van Dahl, a “has been rock and roll star”.

They ought to just leave this poor guy, alone.
