Only movie buffs will know all these sequels

Can you name these movies that came out after other movies?!

People can be very critical of sequels, and understandably so. There are a TON of movies released each month that are made with obvious hopes to cash-in on an earlier success. As move budgets inflate, producers seek to mitigate risk by attaching expectations to movies that are already proven hits.

But, we'd be remiss to not mention some fantastic sequels that deepen the predecessors and broaden their worldbuilding. Here are a few you might remember, we hope! We're going to give you some hints, and then you have to fill in the blanks! Good luck, and be sure to share your score and your thoughts in the comments section below.

  1. Terminator 2: _____________ (1991)
  2. The Dark Knight _________ (2012)
  3. Blade Runner ______ (2017)
  4. The Bourne ________ (2004)
  5. X2: X-Men ________ (2003)
  6. Die Hard with a ___________ (1995)
  7. The Matrix _________ (2003)
  8. Get Shorty (1995) has a 2005 sequel titled __________

I thought the title of #6 should've been Die Hard with a Side Order of Coleslaw. Kidding!

When the movie Barbie gets nominated for best motion picture, I don't care about the Oscars even a little bit anymore. Stopped caring when they went political but come on! Really?

The Oscar mix-up several years ago made the show that night more interesting. Wrong envelope for Best Picture. Some perfectly good Oscar acceptance speeches shot to hell! Good to see Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway on the stage together. It was the 50th Anniversary of the movie Bonnie and Clyde. Jimmy Kimmel was funny.

I've always thought it was good to see Warren Beatty period (still gorgeous, that man...)!
