Ten out of ten. #4 and #9 were process of elimination, but I've actually seen all the others.

8/10. Creature from the Black Lagoon was one of the best syfy movies ever from the 50s.

Along with "Them!" and "Forbidden Planet". Almost infinitely rewatchable.

and This Island Earth.

My all-time favorite syfy movie was, beyond any doubt, "Tarantula" with John Agar.

That movie scared the absolute poo out of me as a kid. I've always been terrified of spiders. These days I love goofy "giant spider" movies. But "Tarantula" crawled the line (for a 9 year old) between too fake and too real. [shudder]

In the thriller "Fade to Black", movie geek Dennis Christopher invites the Marilyn Monroe lookalike he's trying to impress to guess what film character he's trying to impersonate. She draws a blank, and he reveals that it's the Creature from the Black Lagoon, but since he did it without any sort of makeup, it's understandable that she couldn't identify it.

Didn't he do Dracula too?

Yeah, the Christopher Lee version. You can see that one in the poster, along with his Hopalong Cassidy mask.
