Where's this hillbilly from, The Andy Griffith Show or The Beverly Hillbillies?

Are these bumpkins from the Ozarks or Mayberry?

In Mayberry, we often saw hillbillies come on down from the hills for a visit. And in The Beverly Hillbillies, we met a whole collection of characters the Clampetts knew from back home in the Ozarks.

Only true fans of both '60s shows will be able to keep these country bumpkins straight. Good luck!

Emma Poke had another role where she "rattled" when she walked past Andy in the department store. Great character actress.

Lurene Tuttle was the one that rattled in “The Shoplifters”. Emma poke was played Ellen Corby who played Myrt 'Hubcaps' Lesh in “Barney’s first car”

Emma Poke was from the Beverly Hillbillies. Her son was Johnny Poke, a singer who made over $1,000,000 a year. But he never came to see his mother. All she had was a cardboard cutout of him that she carried around with her.

You all said I was wrong on the guess I if Emma E was on Andy Griffith or Beverly Hillbillys. I guessed Andy. Your site said Hillbillys. WRONG, Emma Poke was on Andy... She was the old woman that sold Barney a junker car........

While Ellen Corby did play Emma Poke on Beverly Hillbillies, she did also play a character on the Andy Griffith show as Myrt "Hubcaps" Lesh. The swindling old lady that bilked Barnie out of $300 on an old clunker. Corby was all over tv back then, appearing on many of the hit shows of the time. And of course, her best known character from the Waltons, Grandma Esther Walton …
