Farrah Fawcett: ''I just couldn't think of any place I'd rather be than on Harry O.''

When Fawcett was offered a new role, she refused to leave her beloved series.

One of the unwritten rules of success is to know when you've got a good thing. Many actors fall into the trap of keeping their eyes on the "next big role," not knowing that proper success takes care and dedication.

While Farrah Fawcett's "big break" truly came in 1976 when she began starring as Jill Munroe on the hit series Charlie's Angels, it wasn't her first foray into television. Fawcett also appeared in the crime series Harry O, where she played Sue Ingham. According to an interview with the Ithaca Journal, Fawcett was offered a new role on a series, Marcus Welby, starring Jim Brolin. Of course, starring in this series meant that she'd have to leave Harry O behind, something Fawcett wouldn't even consider.

"Nothing against Brolin," said Fawcett. "But I just couldn't think of any place I'd rather be than on Harry O."

It wasn't just the quality of the series that brought Fawcett back to Harry O, but the promise that her character held in the series.

"This season, my role is going to be 'fattened,' said Fawcett. "And at least a couple of stories will be centered around me - with one having me the victim of a kidnapping."

Additionally, Fawcett enjoyed her time working with her Harry O costars, considering observing industry greats like David Jannsen, the series star, to be a wonderful learning opportunity.

"David Jannsen is so relaxing to work with, and Anthony Zerbe never misses a line," said Fawcett. "I learn so much just being there with them."
