Holy quarter eater! The new 'Batman' pinball machine looks fantastic

We hope Bruce Wayne keeps a copy of the Who's Tommy in the Batcave, because Stern Pinball sure has made one mean pinball machine based on the original 1966 Batman series. The manufacturer, presently the only company making pinball machines, unveiled its latest arcade beauty this morning.
The special edition game was created to celebrate the 30th birthday of Stern and the 50th anniversary of Batman. It is an absolute beauty, riddled with details, right down to the Riddler.
Stern packed just about everything from the show into the bells and whistles, from the Batmobile to the red telephone. There's even a nifty vintage television. The artwork features Julie Newmar, Cesar Romero, Burgess Meredith (operating the crane!) and Frank Gorshin. The heads of Burt Ward and Adam West pop out of the top like the Batmobile. Here's a glimpse at some of the detail. Check many more pictures and details on Stern's Facebook page.
Production is scheduled to begin in November. Keep an eye out for it at your local "barcade," typically the last bastion of old school pinball action. We can't wait to sink some cash into this thing.
