After escaping from a maximum security stockade, the members of The A-Team went to the Los Angeles underground. Though the characters were still wanted by the government for five seasons, George Peppard, Mr. T, Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict still managed to get some down time on the set.

A show surrounding explosions, chase scenes and a lot of running makes for some quality behind-the-scenes images from the actors. From collaboration to funny moments to Mr. T simply being intimidating, let's take an inside look at 12 images of The A-Team cast while the cameras weren't rolling.

George Peppard, also known as John Hannibal Smith, communicating with the crew. Perhaps he's suggesting a camera angle.

No wonder why The A-Team picked this guy to be their intimidating force. Would you stand in the way of Mr. T, or B.A. Baracus? We wouldn't.

Hannibal Smith (George Peppard) and Faceman Peck (Dirk Benedict) discuss the gameplan on top of a tank. Perhaps they were debating on who should drive this time?

Face and Howling Mad Murdock (Dwight Schultz) help B.A. with his fear of flying. They should know he "ain't getting on no plane!"

There's a good chance Mr. T is looking at the next door he'll knock down.

Can’t go wrong with that list. I’d throw in Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges, Sky King and Lincoln Vale Of The Everglades. Always an adventure.

About that first photo - George did Second Unit Director duty on several episodes of Banacek in the 70s. It's not at all unlikely he also pulled some (uncredited) second unit duty on the A-Team as well. The lens/viewer hanging around his neck makes that even more likely.

Absolutely.
In fact 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 (not all) of his issues might've come from not being compensated (enough) for the for doing that extra work. Or, giving him more of it to do. I'm sure he had the talent to be a Director.

Nice photos MeTV. Thankfully the Everett Collection has a good library of photos. Hopefully the A- Team remains in it's spot on the schedule.

I second that vote! One of two of my favorite shows on this network. Thanks MeTV Staff for giving it so much publicity all through the run. The stories are very interesting.
