MeTV rings in the new year with ''The First!'', a presentation of pilots and premieres

Another new year is approaching, and what better way to celebrate than experiencing first meetings all over again? MeTV will be celebrating 2023 with The First!, a January 1st block of pilots and premieres. Meet your favorite classic TV characters like it's the first time with specially selected episodes.

12P | 11C: The Honeymooners: "TV or Not TV" — Ralph and Norton buy a TV set together and constantly fight over what to watch.
12:30P | 11:30C: The Andy Griffith Show: "The New Housekeeper" — Rose, the former housekeeper, gets married and Opie is unhappy at her departure. Aunt Bee comes to live with Andy and Opie, and Opie is not exactly thrilled with her.
1P | 12C: Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.: "Gomer Overcomes the Obstacle Course" — Gomer tries to pass an obstacle course to earn the respect of Sgt. Carter.
1:30P | 12:30C: My Three Sons: "Chip Off the Old Block" — Aeronautical engineer Steve Douglas and his youngest son, Chip, face a problem: How do they get rid of two designing females?
2P | 1C: The Dick Van Dyke Show: "The Sick Boy and the Sitter" — Rob is invited to a party at his boss' house, but Laura doesn't want to go when she senses their son is getting sick.
2:30P | 1:30C: Leave It to Beaver: "Beaver Gets 'Spelled" — Beaver's teacher, Miss Canfield, sends a note home with Beaver and the other kids convince him that it's news that he's getting kicked out of school. So Beaver and Wally take steps to hide the note from Ward and June.
3P | 2C: Gilligan's Island: "Two on a Raft" — An ill-fated three-hour tour aboard the S.S. Minnow shipwrecks seven castaways on a uncharted island. Gilligan and the Skipper set out on a flimsy raft to find civilization.
3:30P | 2:30C: The Brady Bunch: "The Honeymoon" — In the series opener, Mike Brady, a widower with three boys, marries Carol Martin, a widow with three girls. There are a few chaotic events at the wedding, and things get off to a rough start for everyone, but somehow, this group forms a family.
4P | 3C: Mama's Family: "Vint and the Kids Move In" — Mama reluctantly agrees to let her son, Vint, and his two children move in after they are evicted from their apartment. This creates problems for Fran, and she eventually threatens to move out.
4:30P | 3:30C: M*A*S*H: "Pilot" — At the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M.A.S.H) unit in Korea, two army doctors by the names of Hawkeye Pierce and Trapper John McIntyre receive some exciting news in the mail. Their Korean house boy, Ho-John got accepted into Hawkeye's old college. Hawkeye and Trapper decide to hold a party filled with music, dancing, and alcohol to raise money for Ho-John's plane trip to the U.S. They achieve this by raffling off a weekend pass with a nurse, Lieutenant Dish for R&R in Tokyo.
