Mike Lookinland wasn't anticipating fame when he first auditioned for The Brady Bunch so many years ago.

"When you first show up for a pilot, you just make the thing," said Lookinland, better known as Bobby Brady, during an interview with the Gannett News Service. "You don't know whether it will be a show. We didn't know how big it was going to get, that it would be the No. 1 show in the country the next year."

Lookinland was still a child when the first wave of Brady mania hit television viewers across the country. However, that fan fervor never truly went away, and even as an adult, the actor said that he still gets inquiries about the series from curious fans.

"My phone number is listed in the book, and people call up all the time and ask if I'm Bobby Brady," said the actor. But after so many years, one can't help but wonder if discussing the same television show over and over can be draining. Lookinland was honest: Yes, sometimes it was when the questions posed were the same ones he'd already answered. "They ask all the same questions, the ones I've heard 1,000 times," said Lookinland. "'Do you still keep in touch with everyone?' is by far the most asked," said Lookinland.

Lookinland wasn't embittered by his success; just the opposite. He loved The Brady Bunch, and he was more than willing to discuss the series with fans. "If someone asks a new question, one that I haven't heard before, I jump all over it," said the actor. "That's fun."
