The Brady Bunch was (mostly) together again for Lifetime's "Blending Christmas"
A 2021 made-for-TV movie reunited some of the cast!
Here's a reunion that's more than just a hunch- Christopher Knight, the former Peter Brady, was in great company with some fellow Brady Bunch alum in Lifetime's Blending Christmas. The 2021 holiday flick saw Knight joined once again by Barry Williams (Greg), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), and Susan Olsen (Cindy). Fans of yesteryear's premier TV family were even treated to an appearance from Robbie Rist, the Brady kids' Cousin Oliver.
While the actors may not have been "in character" as that famous group that had to form a family, the movie is driven by some classic tropes. Knight and his co-stars are a disparate clump of people who somehow must learn to get along.
“The movie tells the story of these families learning to get along, which is something that seems like, in every Brady episode, we had to be reminded of,” said Knight in an interview with People.
The warmth of the reunion is palpable throughout Blending Christmas. According to Knight, he and his former co-stars often agree to projects together just to reconvene. “I say yes to projects that we’re all in not just because of the project, but because it’s an opportunity to catch up and have fun again. Every time we get together, it’s like no time has passed.”
This Holiday season is perfect for a feel-good TV movie like Blending Christmas. Seeing the Brady kids (now adults) together again will fill viewers with the same kind of nostalgia as a leisurely stroll through their hometown. In press interviews, Knight has stressed the timeless nature of The Brady Bunch, citing the cozy comfort audiences feel from revisiting the safety and familiarity of the '70s show.
