7 of 9. I was more of an "acid rock" fan than a folk music guy. Crank up some "Steppenwolf" or "Elephants Memory".

9/9 I know these guys. I love folk music, and they were huge in bringing it to the public. Folk music dominated college campuses at the time.

Mr. Yarrow was deeply committed to causes and his singing highlighted the need for peace and justice. While there was a time of controversy, I still am sad overall for the silencing of a voice when one gray night it happened when Puff ceased his roar.
He had a song that he sang in the morning of his youth and in the evening of aging, he sang it all over this land…he sang out dangers and warnings, but most of all he sang out love when standing with Mary and Paul. Thank you, Peter Yarrow, for lighting hundreds of candles and for raising hammers of justice, ringing bells for freedom and singing songs of love all over the land. His candle as peace of song will never be long time past in the hearts of a certain generation.

8/9; just missed # 7. Hadn't heard that Peter Yarrow had passed away. RIP Peter (and Mary).

What, no quiz question on which was a convicted child molester? Peter Yarrow was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14 year old girl. (And yes, Jimmy Carter pardoned a child molester on his last day in office when he pardoned Peter Yarrow.)
