4 of 9 another bust. I remember taking guitar lessons and the first song I learned other than. Tinkle tinkle litter star was Leaving on a jet plane....🤣🤣
"You got 9 out of 9. Very nice! You know your stuff." It sure feels good to ace a quiz that very few others did. I'm usually a little bit behind the curve. I grew up in the 1960's so this one was relatively easy for me.
6/9. Ok. Not great but ok. I don't remember much about their music. I was a little young then. Most definitely a 1960's music trio. That scene in "Meet the Parents" when De Niro's and Stiller's characters debate the orgins or meaning of "Puff the Magic Dragon" is hilarious. I remember my first day of kindergarten and my mom and I went to the office for information on my class. Somebody in the office had "Puff the Magic Dragon" on the radio and I do remember listening very intently. Very clear memory of that. Don't remember much about the rest of the day in all honesty. Good times. R.I.P. Mr. Peter Yarrow. You left a mark on the world that won't be forgotten anytime soon.
4/10 Would have been 5/10 had I finished reading #10. Not a folk music fan but I recall loving “Puff The Magic Dragon” as a kid. 🐉
Mrs. Harris I'm surprised at you. You are such a knowledgeable person. I figured that you like myself would have aced this particular quiz.
7/9 I missed #5 and #7.
"Leaving on a Jet Plane" was their only #1 song on Billboard's Hot 100, but two songs made it to #2: "Blowin' in the Wind" and "Puff, the Magic Dragon."

5/9 all guesses. Before my time. Not into folk music, but like taking quizzes though. 😉😄
7/9... not too bad... and although I cannot either confirm or prove this, as a 10 year old I attended summer camp at Camp Toledo (in High Falls, NY) and we had a field trip to an outdoor folk concert.
I would bet that it was Peter, Paul and Mary who we saw... but being 10 years old, it might likely have been a copycat trio that I remember singing "If I Had A Hammer"... I sure wish there was some way to set the record straight... 🙄

Me, too.
By the way: Peter, Paul, and Mary were among the first pop acts signed to Warner Bros. Records that helped the label make it into the big time in the 60's. The label was known mostly for its adult contemporary acts and movie soundtrack music before that.
And I just remembered: my younger sister and I sang "Puff, the Magic Dragon" in an assembly in elementary school around 1969 (I was 7 and my sister was 6). Sometimes when I hear that song it makes me chuckle thinking about that. (Donny and Marie we *weren't,* although my sister *did* pursue singing in her spare time and took voice lessons. She also sang solos at church with the organist.)

4/9 , They were before my time but I really enjoyed their folks songs a lot. RIP. That kind of music will never come around again.
7/10… Knew these from the news feed about Peter’s death. RIP 🕊️
