Kirk and Spock don't land in San Francisco, New York City or Chicago

They end up in Mayberry! 💈 💈

5/10 Wasn't this the episode with Joan Collins?

Yes. Or as Svengoolie would respond "uh, yeah! "

9/10 This is probably the best episode of the original series

This and Trouble With Tribbles are a dead heat lol
City is the best drama whereas Tribbles is the best comedy!

10/10. One of the best ST episodes. Kirk brings up a very good point after they enter the time portal. He asks Spock where will McCoy materialize...Boise, Idaho, Outer Mongolia. Timbuktu?

9/10, I'm pretty sure they are in Chicago. Anybody notice near the end of the episode, where Kirk, Spock and McCoy are reunited in front of the mission, Spock is jumping around and pumping Mccoy's hand in a handshake, and displaying a hell of a lot of emotion. Most illogical Look for yourself.

That's right. And why is he out on the town when he should be back in his room working on his pneumonic memory circuit? Probably looking for a tavern for a few shots of Tronya.

Except for that shot of the Brooklyn Bridge.

9/10 Answer to question 5 could be Mayberry, if there is a Brooklyn Bridge near.

8/10. Hmmm. 🤔 "Highly Fascinating" should have done better. I've seen this episode hundreds of times. One of the BEST episodes in my opinion.
Here's an interesting tidbit for all my trekkie friends. Joan Collins had reservations about doing this episode but her children talked her into it. Kudos for them. The episode wouldn't have been the same without the wonderful actress.

Sigh.
Another bad score, another scornful "highly illogical" from Spock.

9/10. Like others I thought Chicago…maybe I’m wrong.

You may be thinking of the episode called "A Piece of The Action" where the society was modeled after 30's gangland Chicago.

9/10. I always thought it was Chicago.

I am happy to be corrected, but I'd swear this episode took place in Chicago(question 5).
Does anyone here know for sure? Thank you.

Same here, I thought that it was Chicago.
When Kirk and Spock first appear in the city, there is a boxing poster behind them for Madison Square Garden. Later, they show the Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge in a couple of shots.
Thank you Peter Falk.
