I didn't like how the Lou Grant character went from a sitcom to a dramatic show. I felt the same way about Trapper John MD.

@jodyh05 What did NBC have? I grew up as a kid in the 70's and I honestly can't remember anything on NBC back in the days. You may be older than me or younger than me I don't know but I was an ABC addict because of very popular shows like Room 222, The Mod Squad, Love American Style, Happy Days & Laverne & Shirley etc. I'm curious as to what shows NBC had on their line-up..by the way I was born in 1966 Thanks!

Me, too. I especially liked "The Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island" on Saturday nights.

BTW: 60%.

NBC at that time had mostly shows from Universal Television, most notably "Columbo." I guess thay also explains - because of their working relationship - why those two companies are one now.

Maude is a good 70s show. Bea Arthur played as Maude herself and Rue McClanahan played as Vivian. And then before Rue and Betty White were in Mama's Family and now there all together played as The Golden Girls with all three actress including Estelle Getty portrayed as Sophia Petrello. These are best TV decades shows and never gets any old to watch.

Another bad spinoff if you could call it that, was Mrs. Columbo.
