How many obscure classic sitcom characters can you name?

True fans can't forget these minor characters.

Any old TV fan can name the stars, but it takes a sitcom expert to have an eye for memorable minor characters.

Here, we've pulled a dozen obscure TV characters from hit sitcoms we all watched, from the 1950s to the 1980s. All of these characters appeared only a few times over each series run.

Think you can name them all? Don't be fooled: Each question asks you to choose from other characters who also appeared on each show.

Only the most attentive sitcom fans can score 10/12. Good luck!
  1. On 'The Andy Griffith Show,' this little guy showed up in five episodes, usually munching a sandwich. What was his name?
  2. On 'Happy Days,' Richie got to play with this rocker, played by Suzi Quatro, who showed up in seven episodes. What was her name?
  3. On 'I Love Lucy,' there were 10 episodes where we met this lady, who was the Ricardos upstairs neighbor. What was her name?
  4. On 'Cheers,' this guy was Carla's boyfriend and hung around for 10 episodes. What was his name?
  5. On 'WKRP in Cincinnati,' this was Herb Tarlek's wife, who we met in three episodes, but who's mentioned in many more. What was her name?
  6. On 'ALF,' this guy married Kate's mom and later had a hard time wrapping his head around ALF's existence. He appeared in just three episodes. What was his name?

  9. On 'M*A*S*H,' there were several nurses, but this was one who appeared most often, and she also was Hawkeye's sweetheart for a short stint. What was her name?
  10. On 'The Beverly Hillbillies,' we're used to seeing this banker with a visor on, but here, Granny just "cured" his baldness. He appeared in six episodes. What's his name?

You got 11 out of 12
Look at you, attentive viewer. We bet Leon'd be proud to split a sandwich with you next time you happen into Mayberry. Missed the Beaver question for a good reason, never saw it and never want to watch that goody-goody show.
