I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure Pieces of Eight by Styx was released in 1978. Except maybe for Parallel Lines, I would have been more likely to buy that than any of the choices presented.
City to City by Gerry Rafferty was one of the most outstanding albums of the 70's, if not ever. That and Band on the Run by Wings are my two go-to albums. If I'm ever stranded on a desert island...
I love the story of Here my dear a divorce court judge ordered Marvin Gaye to record an album of which the proceeds would be the divorce settlement so he makes an esoteric album on purpose in hopes of a flop!
