What is Cher's greatest song?

What a career!

 Shout! Factory, LLC

She's had a #1 hit in each of the past seven decades. If that doesn't make Cher an icon, well, we just don't know what to tell you.

She's the only solo artist with that accolade, by the way. So, Cher's contribution to pop culture is pretty much inarguable at this point.

Here's what we want to know... Which song is Cher's best? So, let's have it! Let us know what your favorite is, and if you don't see it, let us know! Be prepared to defend your choice in the comments section below!

(Some of these songs may have been recorded by multiple artists. Maybe you feel Cher's isn't the definitive version. That's ok! Just let us know what you love from Cher! Also, some of these might feature a collaborator. They might be a Sonny & Cher tune. We know you know!)

  1. Which of these Cher songs is your favorite?

I'm not a fan of her as a person and in and out on her music as a whole but hearing people say she's got a horrible voice is crazy. She's got an incredibly strong voice, though deeper, I prefer it to high pitched female voices. That opinion stated, I chose THE WAY OF LOVE slightly ahead of BELIEVE.

100% similar. And I'm not really much of a fan, but she was kinda-sorta alright, especially when she was still with Sonny.

Cher was definitely part of the playlist of my youth and that was one of the songs I thought of I remember being played.

I chose "Strong Enough" as the best here that should have been a MUCH bigger hit.

Political correctness rears its ugly head: "Half-Breed" is not even listed as a choice. It is one of Cher's greatest #1 hits.

They're all good songs. It was hard to choose a favorite.

I enjoy her older songs

100% similar! I had a hard time choosing between "I Got You Babe" and "Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves". I picked the latter but the former was right behind in overall popularity.

This is so weird. I was thinking about the song Half Breed when I got up this morning.
It was her first #1 hit in 1973 and they don't even list it on here?
musicman37 frenchman71 21 days ago
It was overall her third #1 record, and it's not included because of political correctness.

But Gypsies and Tramps are acceptable terms????
