Who said it: Fred Flintstone or Ralph Kramden?
It's a quote-off!
It's no big surprise to learn that Hanna-Barbera took some serious inspiration from The Honeymooners when they devised the set-up and characterizations in The Flintstones. A beleaguered, working-class guy with a lovely wife and a happy-go-lucky dunderhead neighbor? Well, that just about summarizes either show!
So, let's see whether you can tell Brooklyn from Bedrock by choosing which character said which of the following quotes. Be sure to share your score in the comments section below, and let us know who you prefer!
-
"I have - I've got an explanation. A perfect one. I'm a dope. Not a run-of-the-mill dope, the world's champ."
-
"If any of the Racoons ever get sick, it'll be my responsibility to go and visit them."
-
"All right. All right. I can't make it as fast as you spend it. I admit it, so let's call off the contest!"
-
"I'm not driving anybody crazy. You're just jealous, that's all. And you know why you're jealous? Because you know that at this time tomorrow night, my picture will be on the front page of every newspaper in the country."
-
"I'm talking about that antiseptic refugee from the psycho ward. Nurse Frightenshale.”
-
"I love my dear sweet mother-in-law. My mother-in-law is a doll."
-
"You are too smart to leave this cushy set up you have right now. Truth is, you like things just the way they are."
-
[Talking about his mother-in-law] "Why couldn't she have been with Custer when he got in that trouble?"
-
"Bonehart's fourth wife was last seen in a little railroad station in a valise, a ladies' hatbox, and an executive's briefcase. Well, that's one way to send your wife to the country."
-
"There's a riot, the two of us hiding our Christmas gifts like we're a couple of kids when we couldn't wait to see 'em till tomorrow."

100%! The Custer one is easy since the Flintstones takes place WAY before Custer was even born.
Yeah, and how could Fred be Santa when Jesus hadn't been born yet? Are they saying Santa's older than Jesus?
8/10. I always called the Flintstones a prehistoric version of the Honeymooners and the Jetsons the futuristic version.
They both sound the same. 6/10. Lol. To the moon Wilma! Lol.
8/10
