R.I.P. Deanna Lund, Valerie Scott on Land of the Giants, Anna Gram on Batman

The actress passed away at the age of 81.

On the late '60s Irwin Allen series Land of the Giants, Deanna Lund played Valerie Scott, the adventurous heiress who found herself suddenly shrunken alongside Captain Steve Burton and the rest of the crew in what was a then-futuristic London in 1983.

Through the series, where she was trapped under a water glass or tossed in a cage (where she was considered a collectible), she was the series' designated eye candy, but her character became so popular that eventually, Lund went on to co-write a series of short stories that spun off from the TV series, called Valerie in Giant Land.

Before she was cast in Land of the Giants, Batman fans will remember the actress as John Astin's Riddler's sidekick Anna Gram, casting eyes as wide as Carolyn Jones' up at The Addams Family star in the 1967 episodes "Batman's Anniversary" and "A Riddling Controversy."

Lund went on to feature in many movies for both TV and the big screen, adding a sparkle to scenes right up to 2017. On Friday, June 22, the actress passed away at the age of 81.
